The new tipping rear mounted round body "CONICA" was created to meet an increasing demand for tippers capable of carrying 19 cubic metres without changing the recognised characteristics of solidity and long life span that made previous models so popular. In fact, the same characteristics in terms of strenght and quality were maintained in the material used to manufacture the sub-frames for ROCCIA dumper models. This means excellent stability during tilting even without the use of mechanical stabilisers.
Weight savings
Weight savings on this equipment were achieved thanks to thorough research into the shape of the load body structure and to the strengthening of the most stressed areas.
We therefore decided to use HB 450 steel not just for the side, front and rear boards of the flatbed area but also for all the other components that make up the base structure and the lateral uprights.
Rear tail lift
The rear tail lift features hydraulically operated gull-wing type opening with two options: full opening as the container is rising and partial opening controlled by the operator depending on needs.
Particular attention was paid to the design of the cab protection so that the cover could be completely retracted to facilitate loading the load body.
Tipping unit
Only the highest quality components are used for the hydraulic system; the capacity of the 116 litre self-compensating pump, the special flanging on the 250 litres distribution system directly to the reservoir through an immersed filter and the use of a 5-stage piston provide a high raising and lowering speed for the load body. Operating pressures of below 140 bar ensure all components will have a long lifespan.
Painting cycles
All structural parts undergo an automated turbine shot-blasting process before they are painted. Since the start of 2007, we have been using cycles of water-based paint and dual component products of the very highest quality, which fully comply with the latest anti-pollution standards.
